Previous to his incorporation to Carbonia, he was partner at Garrigues and CEO at Garrigues Medio Ambiente, high ranking civil servant at the Spanish Ministry of Environment, partner and member of the executive committee at Linklaters, managing partner and president at Herbert Smith Freehills Spain. He has been and continues to develop his functions as a board adviser to important energy, infrastructure and environmental companies.

EDUCATION
He has a law degree by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and a Master degree in European Union law. He is a member of the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM – Madrid Bar Association).

Daniel is the Director of Carbonia Special Services, S.L.

Financial and Capital Markets Partner of Ramón y Cajal Law Firm, having a wide experience in financing and debt restructuring processes.

Angel is the Senior Advisor of Carbonia Special Services, S.L.

Before joining Carbonia Special Services he was Managing Partner of KPMG in the areas of Financial Restructuring, Deal Advisory and Global Financial Restucturing.

marta sánchez villalta

Marta is the Director of energy and Infraestructure of Carbonia Investments, S.L.

Prior to joining Carbonia, Marta has developed her career in the energy and infrastructure departments of international firms such as KPMG, Linklaters and Herbert Smith Freehills. Marta has advised energy companies, construction companies and investment banks in national and international transactions, leading competitive M&A and Project Finance processes, advising on all project contracts and supporting the management team on all matters related to project development.

EDUCATION
Law Degree from the University of Malaga. Master in Energy Law by the Spanish Energy Club and Master in Corporate Legal Advice by IE.

JOSÉ MANUEL GUTIÉRREZ DELGADO

José Manuel is the Legal director of Carbonia Investments, S.L.

Lawyer of the State on leave of absence, before joining Carbonia Investments, he held the position of Head of the International Arbitration Department in the State Attorney General’s Office. He has served as State Attorney before the Supreme Court, Director General of Legislative Policy and International Legal Cooperation, and representative of Spain in the EU, among others, in addition to having been a member of the board of directors of various companies.

Bachelor’s degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE and Diploma in European and International Law from UNED.

Diego Santacruz Descartín

Diego is the Senior Advisor of Carbonia Investments, S.L.

State Attorney on leave of absence, before joining Carbonia he was Head of the Investment Arbitration Department of the State Attorney’s Office. Among other positions, he has been Secretary of the Regional Economic Administrative Courts of Aragón, Cantabria and the Basque Country.

MATILDE GARCÍA DUARTE

Matilde is the Senior Advisor of Carbonia Investments, S.L.

Lawyer of the State on leave of absence, she has served as Secretary of the Board of Directors of various companies, having held the position of Director of Legal Advice and Asset Management at AENA S.M.E. S.A. and Grupo IBERPAPEL (among other positions in several organizations).

Matilde has been the General Coordinator of the Mayor’s Office of the Madrid City Council. Responsible for legal advice, digital transformation, organization and legal regime, relations with other Public Administrations, and the coordination of international institutional representation and relations with the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities UCCI.

She is currently the president of the National Association of Large Distribution Companies (ANGED).

Bachelor’s degree in Law, specializing in Legal-Business, from the Complutense University of Madrid. CEU-San Pablo University College. Doctorate in administrative law.

RAFAEL GARIJO

Rafael is the Senior Advisor of Carbonia Investments, S.L.

Partner at A&G Private Banking. His professional career which has been always related to the financial sector, began at Beta Capital. Later, he joined Banca del Gottardo-BSi as Deputy General Manager, after four years as a Banker and Vice-President in International Private Banking at Banco Santander Suisse in Geneva.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Economics from CEU, MBA from IE (Instituto de Empresa), CEFA and CIIA certificates awarded by the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts.
